\nHow for the Court themselues they might aguize:
\nFor thither they themselues meant to addresse,
\nIn hope to finde there happier successe,
\nSo well they shifted, that the Ape anon
\nHimselfe had cloathed like a Gentleman,
\nAnd the slie Fox, as like to be his groome,
\nThat to the Court in seemly sort they come.
\nWhere the fond Ape himselfe vprearing hy
\nVpon his tiptoes, stalketh by,
\nAs if he were some great Magnifico<\/em>,
\nAnd boldlie doth amongst the boldest go.
\nAnd his man Reynold with fine counterfesaunce
\nSupports his credite and his fine countenaunce.
\nThen gan the Courtiers gaze on euerie side,
\nAnd stare on him, with big lookes basen wide,
\nWondring what mister wight he was, and whence:
\nFor he was clad in strange accoustrements,
\nFashion’d with queint deuises neuer seene
\nIn Court before, yet there all fashions beene . . .<\/p>\n
